So About that 5K......

So I wrote that long blog about the Parkinsons 5K and my goal to run it in under 30 minutes so I am embarrassed to tell you that I didn't even show up. Until 4:30 pm the day before I had every intention of running it and was even planning my carb rich night before the run pasta dinner but then Nate strolled by my desk and declared a happy hour. I did resist and told him I had a race the next day but Nate just smiled and walked away. Let's just say 10 minutes later I was at The Local with Nate, Jenny Mae and Tub reminiscing about when we met (10 years ago at SDSU!), looking at pics on Jenny's camera from my B party, etc....I got home at 9 and didn't even bother trying to convince myself that I was going to try to get up and run the next day and Jeff didn't try to convince me either. So, we slept in for the first time in a long time, had a nice big breakfast and enjoyed the day! Not a total bust. There will be other 5ks.

I'm now participating in a Biggest Loser challenge with my trainer. She measured and did body fat percentage on all us girls at fitness camp today and we are contributing to a pot and in 10 weeks will see who lost largest percent of body fat and most inches. Have to say I was pleasantly surprised today when I found out my body fat was in the low 'fitness' range just shy of the 'athlete' range. So pretty sure the vino is going to keep me from winning this challenge, but I am challenging myself to get in that 'athlete' bracket.
