A few weekends ago Jeff, Bailey and I packed up and headed about an hour and 45 minutes North East to Lake Gregory up in the Big Bear area. Neither of us had ever been in the area, but Jeff's mom and Step-dad had rented a cabin for the week so we decided to join them for their last few days up there. We got there around 9 pm Friday night and stayed up playing cards with the whole fam (and grown ups were having some adult beverages). Saturday we all got up, had breakfast and then headed out to the lake. It's not really a lake in my definition, more like an oversized pond. But....there were lots of activities and it was nice and warm so the cool, refreshing water (okay, freezing cold, melted snow) felt good. They had waterslides which were a ton of fun, lots of watersports, swimming. We got lots of sun and had a lot of fun. I would definitely return!

Yeah....I Took a Nap

I had a headache so I took a much needed nap. Jeff and I went on a 3 mile run/walk, he found his paperwork and I'm updating the blog and about to start some laundry. I can cross a few things off my list. Here is a recap of a few things we've been up to lately:

San Diego weather has been fabulous lately! We've had lots of sunshine and warm temps. Bailey is our California dog and loves to lay out in the sun until she comes in panting and is warm to the touch. Just had to take this pic of her working on her tan.

Had a BBQ at the Colemans. Their sis and cousin were in town and we had awesome burgers and dogs q'd up by grillmaster Jamey. There was hot tubbing and Bartender Dan even came by. I learned that I need to practice for beer pong, although I did sink the winning shot once!

This is a pic of my little cousin Kiya. This is at the harbor in Santa Barbara and was taken while we were killing time during mom's surgery. Kiya played hookie and hung out with us for the day and made the day go by faster.

Tomorrow evening we head up to Lake Gregory for a weekend with Jeff's family. It's in the Big Bear area, neither of us have ever been. Looking forward to a little weekend get away. It's supposed to be hot this weekend, I'm ready to go on those water slides and work on my tan!

I've Been a Bad, Bad Blogger

So much to tell....so little time!

When I get home today I plan on doing the following:

Updating my blog with pics
laundry
pack for Big Bear
charge camera and air mattress inflator thingie
vacuum
clean the bathrooms
work out
make Jeff find his paperwork so we can make appointment to get our home loan pre-approval

I usually come home on non-bootcamp days and take a nap. I'll fight the urge today :-D
